Beverly Elliott — Granny on ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ — will teach, perform her original show ‘Sink or Swim’

An “extraordinary double feature” with Vancouver actor Beverly Elliott is coming to Tsawwassen later this month, with partial proceeds to help Delta Stageworks mount their fall play.

On Saturday, April 20, Stageworks will be bringing acclaimed TV and stage actor/singer Beverley Elliott — perhaps best known for her role as Granny Lucas on ABC’s Once Upon A Time — to the Red Barn in Southlands for an evening performance of her cabaret-style show Sink or Swim: A Heartfelt Exploration, preceded by a mid-day storytelling workshop.

An upcoming invasive species workshop will target English ivy growing in Stephen Decatur Park. 

On March 2, Berlin resident Lara Mulvaney will host the workshop, which will guide attendees through hands-on cleanup action. She wants to remove English ivy from Stephen Decatur Park to protect local trees.

Willowick Post Office hosting job application workshop – News-Herald

The Willowick Post Office, 260 East 312th St., will host a job application workshop from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 26 to fill immediate openings for city carrier assistants.

Starting salary is $19.33 per hour, according to a news release.

USPS personnel will be on site to provide detailed information about the positions and answer questions. Applications are accepted online only at www.usps.com/careers.
