TikTok Will Start Watermarking AI Content to Warn Users
TikTok will start working with a digital watermark system called Content Credentials to help identify more photos, videos and audio-only content created using artificial intelligence tools from the likes of Microsoft, Adobe and OpenAI.
The Chinese social networking giant, which is fighting a potential ban in the US over national security concerns, already labels AI-generated content made using TikTok’s AI effects tools. The company said its new moves will be part of an expanding effort to fight disinformation and misinformation.
“AI enables incredible creative opportunities, but can confuse or mislead viewers if they don’t know content was AI-generated,” TikTok said in a statement. “Labeling helps make that context clear.”

NHS Data Breach Results In Medical Records On The Dark Web
NHS Dumfries and Galloway faced a cyber attack that led to the theft and publication of a considerable volume of data on the dark web. The breach initially exposed a small portion of patient data in March, and as the attackers warned, further releases followed. Subsequent leaks included identifiable details of patients and staff.
Chief Executive Julie White labeled the act as an “utterly abhorrent” operation, typical of criminal cyber activities. Shared Table to host donation-only concert to help tackle food insecurity | Music
It started much like any intentional gesture starts: with an act of kindness and generosity. Last fall, Ashlee Howard hosted a writer’s retreat at the Mabel Dodge Luhan Retreat Center. During one of the writing sessions, Howard hired Frederick Aragon to play the Native flute.
