The North Lanarkshire Children’s Panel is appealing for dedicated volunteers to join efforts in supporting vulnerable young people by becoming members.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and youngsters by using your listening skills and compassion to help shape their futures.

Volunteers will receive comprehensive training before sitting on their first panel and are supported by Children’s Hearings Scotland (CHS) experts, including local volunteer area support teams, throughout their time on the panel.

AI is hot in the workplace: ChatGPT now has more than 1 million business users

ChatGPT has found a niche not just among individuals but among organizations. The business and educational flavors of OpenAI’s chatbot have officially snagged more than 1 million paying business users, a company spokesperson told ZDNET. That number is a hefty gain from the 600,000 recorded this past April.

The amount represents the total number of paid seats for the ChatGPT business offerings as different companies have different numbers of seats based on their size. The number includes users of OpenAI’s three business-oriented platforms, specifically ChatGPT Enterprise (launched August 28, 2023), ChatGPT Team (launched January 10, 2024), and ChatGPT Edu (launched May 30, 2024).

A photograph of a hooded person carrying a gun is being shared on social media with false claims it shows the attacker involved in a school shooting in the US state of Georgia this week.

The image, which depicts a person wearing a hoodie and jeans carrying a weapon in front of a set of double doors, has been shared on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and Threads with captions linking it to the attack at Apalachee High School on 4 September.

A suspect, identified as Colt Gray, 14, is accused of opening fire at his high school in the city of Winder, killing two teachers and two pupils and injuring another eight pupils and one teacher.
