The Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Dr Terrance Drew, lauded the EMS professionals for hosting Emergency Medical Services Week from May 21 to 27. The Week commemorates the 49th year of celebrations, highlighting the EMS profession, its dedicated workers and their important role in protecting individuals’ health, safety and well-being. The theme of this year’s EMS Week is “Where Emergency Care Begins”.
