Trick or treaters can stop by Rocky Mountain Village this year on their Halloween route.
On Oct. 31, parents can bring their children to the village at 55 Cokato Rd. to visit with residents and fill their bags with candy. Young pre-schoolers can stop by from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., and older school-age children can make their rounds in the evening.
“The residents, they light up when they see the younger generation, the children and the costumes that they’re wearing,” said village recreation therapist Shelley Moulton.
“[It’s] bringing up memories, bringing up emotions of when they took their kids out, or of grandkids coming to see them, or handing out candy to the kids when they were able to live at home.”
