Visit Moffat County to host week of events in appreciation of visitors

While this week might technically be dedicated to Moffat County visitors, Visit Moffat County director Tom Kleinschnitz knows how fun it will be for residents, too.

From Sunday through Saturday, the tourism association will host a number of events throughout the county to let visitors know they are welcome, but also to remind locals that the summer season is starting.

“I know it’s kind of strange to think about summer and fun things and a post-COVID time, but it’s real,” Kleinschnitz said. “We’ve been seeing a great rebound in visitor information requests substantially so far this year. We’re actually doing better than pre-COVID times.”

Union County Hosting Virtual Forum On Domestic Violence Thursday

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The Seventh Annual Union County C.A.R.E.S. (Community, Action, Response, Education, Safety) Domestic Violence Symposium is scheduled to take place later this week, and those working in fields dedicated to serving victims are being encouraged to register and learn from a host of subject-matter expert speakers.

A joint presentation by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and YWCA Union County, along with supporting partner organizations including the Union County Board of Commissioners, the Union County Office of Victim/Witness Advocacy, the Union County Family Justice Center, and the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the Symposium is being held virtually for the first time, and will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 via Zoom. Following hacking, Midland County OKs new website hosting contract 

Project requires up to $98,500 in funding

Some big changes are in store for Midland County’s official website.

During a regular meeting of the Midland County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, the board approved an agreement with Jesse James Creative for website development and hosting services. The project requires up to $98,500 in funding, which will be covered by IT capital funds, unallocated reserves and the CARES Act.

Nov. 3 was a disappointing day for me and it had nothing to do with the election.

On the morning of Nov. 3, Gun Media announced that “Friday the 13th: The Game” was going to receive its final patch later this month, and with it the game’s dedicated servers would be shut off.

“We fought to keep dedicated servers for as long as possible, but I think we all felt this day was coming. Doesn’t make it any easier, though,” tweeted Wes Kelter, the head of Gun Media.
