Poshmark Offers Webinars on Hosting Live-Selling ‘Posh Show’ Events

Poshmark is offering webinars to teach sellers how to host live-selling events called Posh Shows. In an email kicking off the New Year this week, Poshmark said, “Intro to Posh Shows is a beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn how to go live for the first time and how to utilize the different features to maximize your show.”

Sellers who want to bypass the waiting list to become a host can attend the Intro to Posh Shows webinars.

Posh Shows are live events where sellers host an auction-style show and shoppers bid on their items. When Poshmark officially announced Posh Shows in April 2023, it wrote in part:

Video shows 2011 tsunami in Japan, not recent events

Posts circulating online falsely imply a video shows a tsunami in Japan caused by an earthquake that hit the country yesterday (1 January 2024). 

The video shows boats and vehicles being carried by a large wave that spills over a road and into buildings. It has been shared across social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, with the suggestion it shows a tsunami caused by the recent quake. 

One post has the caption: “First tsunami waves have hit Japan after a major earthquake measuring 7.4”.

Yesterday’s earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 and 55 people are reported to have been killed at the time of publication.

American Legion Jay Wilson Post 112 hosting Veterans Day events

The American Legion Jay Wilson Post 112 in Madison announced it is hosting its annual
Veterans Day Commemoration Nov. 10-12 to honor all those who have served to protect the country and freedoms.

On Nov. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m., a dinner will be offered to all veterans and their guests that will include homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert, and coffee. This dinner is free for veterans and a $5 donation for guests, according to a news release.

Afterwards, the Full Circle Band will perform.

On Nov. 11, the Legion Auxiliary is preparing a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. followed by an event-filled day to include a kid’s coloring contest, a presentation from Jungle Terry, a flag etiquette seminar, and a Chinese auction, the release stated.

ECU hosts a week of events dedicated to hazing prevention

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Monday is the start of National Hazing Prevention Week and East Carolina University is holding an event each day to remind their students that hazing should not be a part of a new member process.

In one of the most recent studies posted by hazingpreventionnetwork.org, 55% of college students involved in clubs, teams, or other organizations experienced some kind of hazing. This is one of the reasons why ECU feels it so important to host their events this week
