EIGHTY young people from across Ireland are meeting for the first time to give their views as part of the new Shared Island Youth Forum.
The inaugural meeting of the forum is taking place in Dublin Castle on today, with 40 young people from the north, and 40 from the Republic.
The forum is part of the Shared Island Initiative to encourage co-operation in Ireland and build a shared future, and the young representatives, aged between 18 and 25, reflect “gender, ethnic, community, faith and other identity diversities”.

For the third year in a row, the town of Bratsigovo, Southern
Bulgaria, will host the international architectural forum dedicated
to immovable cultural and historical heritage, titled “Bratsigovo –
The Stone Flow of Time,” Azernews reports, citing BTA.
It begins on June 26, and will continue until July 2. From this
year, the event is under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture.
Architect Desislava Dimitrova is the main organizer of the
forum.
The forum will begin with an exhibition of the Thracian treasure
from the village of Ravnogor, which will be presented in the
Regional History Museum in Pazardzhik. This is the only day in the

On Sunday, August 21, People Acting for Change and Equality (PACE) is hosting a Mayoral Forum dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community at the LSUS theatre, beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 6 p.m. All of the candidates will be asked questions by moderators pertaining to their views of LGBTQ+ issues or actions they may take in office that affect the LGBTQ+ community.
In every mayoral election since 2002, People Acting for Change and Equality has been hosting its Mayoral Forum. Based on attendance at prior PACE forums, organizers expect 200-300 LGBTQ+ community members to be present.
