Michigan State Police to host highway dedication on US-127 for fallen trooper

LANSING, Mich. (WILX)—The Michigan State Police (MSP) will honor a fallen hero on Friday. A highway dedication ceremony will be held for trooper Caleb Starr.

Starr was killed in the line of duty when a drunk driver hit him in Ionia County in July 2020.

On Friday, a stretch of US-127, between the Cedar Street exit and the I-96 interchange in Ingham County, will be dedicated as “Trooper Starr Memorial Highway.”

The ceremony will take place at Hayes Park at noon.

'Wheel of Fortune' host Ryan Seacrest shares 'wild' first day on set: 'My heart's pounding'

Ryan Seacrest shared a behind the scenes look at his first day on the set of “Wheel of Fortune.”

Seacrest, 49, took over for Pat Sajak, who hosted the iconic game show for over four decades.

“A glimpse of my first day at @wheeloffortune, and I’m still spinning with excitement!” Seacrest captioned a video shared on social media.

The TV personality held up a “Wild” card as he took a first day selfie.

Farm Share to host food distribution in Macclenny

MACCLENNY, Fla. – Farm Share, the state’s largest food bank, will host a food distribution Saturday in Macclenny.

According to the organization, recipients will receive fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods.

This will be a drive-thru-only event to help ensure the safety of all parties. So, all attendees must arrive in a vehicle with a trunk or cargo bed, according to Farm Share.
