A clip of veteran Pakistani actor Meera is making the rounds, where an attempt was seemingly made to humiliate the star. During the segment, Meera shared a quote she found meaningful: “In the hands of life, it’s not important to hold all the good relations but it is more important how good you behave with the relations you hold.” Despite the depth of her message, an incessant laugh track continued in the background as she read the quote, evidently attempting to undermine her.

Students need host families

Central Okanagan Public Schools is searching for families who have an extra bedroom in their home and some extra room in their hearts for sharing Canadian culture with international students.

The District’s International Education program will carefully match students with families that can provide a welcoming home and who will enjoy the mutual benefit that comes with hosting students.

“Our homestay program is internationally recognized because we run it ourselves, so we offer great support for both the students and the families who choose to open their home,” said Raquel Steen, Assistant Superintendent.

Former ‘American Idol’ Host Explains Why He Left After Single Season: “It Was Very, Very Cruel That First Season”

If you only watched American Idol in the later seasons, then you may be shocked to learn there were originally two hosts. Brian Dunkleman shared hosting duties alongside Ryan Seacrest. However, he left after a single season with Seacrest taking over solely as host.

What happened? Well, a big part of it may have to do with the fact that Dunkleman wasn’t a fan of the first season of American Idol. He described the experience as cruel to the contestants and left a bad taste in his mouth.

Driving Mobility to host open day dedicated to driving with a disability

The national charity Driving Mobility is inviting all members of the public and professionals, with an interest in driving with a disability, to its Herts Ability Driving Assessment Centre in Harlow for a free Open Day. As a charity, Herts Ability provides fitness-to-drive and mobility equipment assessments for people with disabilities.

Coordinated by Driving Mobility and supported by the Department for Transport, Herts Ability aims to enable as many drivers as possible through clinical guidance on the most appropriate adapted controls and vehicles. Other services include specialist driving tuition and advice on accessible transport choices if using a car is not an option.

Its clients self-refer or are signposted from the DVLA, Motability, NHS and Police. Members…
