Europe’s OVHcloud Readies Possible $4.7 Billion IPO

European cloud-services provider OVHcloud plans to launch a possible initial public offering as soon as Monday that could value the business at more than $4.7 billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

Based in Roubaix, France, OVHcloud rents computing, storage and networking capability to users, overseeing a network of dozens of data centers across North America, Europe, Singapore and Australia. It also operates its own fiber-optic network globally that the company claims gives it a competitive edge.

Cloud computing and web hosting giant OVHcloud has launched its Web PaaS solution with the help of Platform.sh as it looks to help facilitate the development of applications and sites across the web.

Web PaaS, powered by Platform.sh, will be fully integrated into OVHcloud’s portfolio of solutions.

U.K.’s Giant Battery Factory Developer Looks for a SPAC Deal

(Bloomberg) — Britishvolt Ltd., the developer of the first giant battery factory in the U.K., is considering going public.The company has appointed Guggenheim Securities LLC and Barclays Plc as advisers to look into options including listing in the U.S. through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, Orral Nadjari, founder and chief executive officer of Britishvolt, said in an interview.
