After Google and Apple Amazon also bans Parler from its web hosting service-ANI

Washington [US], January 10 (ANI): In another subsequent blowout to the American social networking app Parler, now Amazon has also suspended the company from its web hosting platform, with effect from Monday midnight. This comes as a third blow to the social networking app after Google and Apple banned it from their respective app stores.
According to The Verge, these bans come after the accusations that the social media app was fostering calls to violence ahead of, and following, the raid on the US Capitol. Now, unless Parler finds another web hosting service, it will go offline following Sunday night.

Parler disappears from the internet after Amazon revokes hosting

Parler — the conservative social media platform that brands itself as a “free speech” alternative to sites like Twitter — was kicked off of its Amazon web-hosting service after midnight Sunday, ending for now a site that has become a nexus of extremism.

Amazon’s decision, which was first reported by BuzzFeed News on Saturday, comes after the Apple App Store and Google Play Store decided to remove Parler from their respective app stores this week, limiting its potential reach.

The push to take action against Parler follows decisions this week by Twitter and Facebook to ban President Donald Trump from their platforms for inciting violence — and thus deprives the president of what could have been an alternative to those services. Many conservatives aggrieved with those…

Parler squeezed as Trump seeks new online megaphone | Business News

In a statement Friday, Trump said: “We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future.”

Google and Apple both booted it from their app stores in 2017 and it was left internet-homeless for a time the following year due to anti-Semitic posts attributed to the man accused of killing 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue. Microsoft also terminated a web-hosting contract.

Online speech experts expect social media companies led by Facebook, Twitter and Google’s YouTube to more vigorously police hate speech and incitement in the wake of the Capitol rebellion, as…

Amazon Boots Parler from web hosting service as Google, Apple pull app from stores.

Parler has been enjoying a boost in popularity as President Donald Trump’s supporters have been joining the social network in droves after the commander in chief was kicked off several sites, including Twitter and Facebook. But now Parler could disappear, at least temporarily. Amazon notified Parler that it would kick the company out of its web-hosting service on Sunday night following repeated violations of its rules. The move came shortly after both Apple and Google removed the app from their app stores, also claiming the social network wasn’t doing enough to moderate content from its users..

The suspension that causes the biggest immediate threat to Parler is Amazon’s, as Parler could suddenly go offline if it isn’t able to find a new hosting service….
