NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ beloved hosts Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin recently issued a stern warning to ‘American Idol’ former host Ryan Seacrest following his time as ‘Wheel of Fortune’s’ new host.

On Wednesday, September 20 ‘Today’ broadcast, host Willie Geist shared glimpses of his upcoming interview with Seacrest as he discussed it with co-hosts Melvin, Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and Carson Daly.

It was confirmed back in June on the official Instagram page of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ that Seacrest will replace the longtime gameshow host Pat Sajak after the 76-year-old announced his retirement.

It appears Ryan Seacrest is busy prepping for his new role hosting Wheel of Fortune, according to a cheeky clip shared to his Instagram Stories.

It was announced in June that the 48-year-old would be taking over from Pat Sajak, with Seacrest’s hosting duties beginning in 2024. The star is clearly excited for the gig, stopping by to surprise his former Live with Kelly and Ryan colleagues—including former co-host Kelly Ripa and producer Michael Gelman—with a personalized Wheel of Fortune umbrella on Monday.

In the video shared to Instagram, Seacrest can be seen walking down a studio corridor toward an open door with the umbrella in his hand.

“It’s raining outside,” he tells the group, bumping the open umbrella on the door as he enters the room. “So I had to break out my wheel.”

Wheel of Fortune Season 41 is now in full swing, and that’s somewhat bittersweet since it’ll mark the final stretch of episodes for longtime host Pat Sajak. Months ago, the 76-year-old TV presenter announced that he’d retire from WoF in 2024. Ryan Seacrest will ultimately succeed him in that post starting in the fall of that same year. All in all, Seacrest appears excited to be taking the reins of the game show and, as you’d expect, he’s already getting prepared. So it shouldn’t be shocking to hear he’s spoken with Sajak and veteran hostess Vanna White, who apparently shared some honest sentiments with him.

Ryan Seacrest is thrilled to be teaming up with Vanna White when he starts his duties as the host of “Wheel of Fortune” next fall.

Seacrest shared his joyous reaction after White extended her contract for the syndicated game show through the 2025-26 season.

“This is such great news,” the “American Idol” host, 48, told Willie Geist in a preview of his “Sunday Today” interview released Wednesday.

“Vanna has been such a staple on that show and in our living rooms for so many years. I have been very excited to work with her, but now that it’s official, I can say, ‘Congratulations, Vanna! I can’t wait.’”
