Keensight Capital-backed Valiantys snaps up web hosting provider Contegix

Valiantys, which is backed by Keensight Capital, has acquired Contegix, a US-based web hosting provider. No financial terms were disclosed.

Valiantys is a global IT consulting firm.

On the deal, Philippe Crochet, managing partner at Keensight Capital, said in a statement, “The acquisition of Contegix marks a significant moment in Valiantys’ development, particularly by opening up the North American regulated market. We look forward to continuing to support the company through this next period of growth.”

Google snaps up software virtualization firm Cameyo to help make legacy Windows apps live on in ChromeOS

In its latest move to prepare the ChromeOS ecosystem for a web-based future, Google has announced its acquisition of software virtualization company Cameyo.

The company says the deal aligns with its goal to simplify access to legacy applications, particularly in the enterprise space, within the ChromeOS environment, helping it prepare for a future in which access to applications will be web-based and not localized.
