Many foreigners traveled thousands of miles to fight with Chinese people against the Japanese invasion and for the establishment of the New China in the first half of the 20th century. Many of them knew Soong Ching Ling, the Honorary President of the People’s Republic of China.

The Mausoleum of Soong Ching Ling is hosting an exhibition, “Shared Faith and Boundless Love – Soong Ching Ling and International Friends of China,” to commemorate her 130th birthday. The exhibit focuses on her friendships with international friends.

A LASTING MEMORY: Carlos Mackey, left, host of the Best of Sports World Show, Larry Little, centre, two-time Superbowl champion, and the late Obediah Hercules Wilchcombe.

CARLOS Mackey, television host of the Best of Sports World show, joined alongside the late Obediah Hercules Wilchcombe to make history in 1991.

Mackey and Wilchcombe shared the vision of hosting one of the country’s first football clinics with the goal of helping interested Bahamians attain scholarships to carve out a bright future.

With Wilchcombe being laid to rest yesterday at Christ Church Cathedral, the sports show legend shared one final as I knew him.

Dermot O’Leary has shared a gushing tribute and said co-hosting an entire week of This Morning was a ‘privilege’  amid the ongoing Phillip Schofield scandal. 

The host, 50, who has been fronting the show alongside Alison Hammond, 48, took to Instagram with a slew of snaps from his busy stint in front of the camera.

Phillip, 61, quit ITV with immediate effect after admitted to cheating on wife Stephanie with the man, while he admitted deceiving his ITV employees and colleagues about his affair.

Dermot playfully posed alongside Alison in the snaps as well as with a number of the show’s celebrity guests. 

The duo beamed, shaking off any signs of drama, with actors Ian McKellan, Roger Allam and the Spitting Image puppets.

This season, the NBA will honor the life and legacy of Bill Russell by retiring his number 6 jersey throughout the league. It’s the first jersey number the NBA has retired. As a side note, those currently wearing number 6, such as LeBron James, are grandfathered, though it would be a classy gesture to switch numbers.
