MTV Movie & TV Awards Will Not Air Live as Planned Due to Writers Strike

MTV Movie & TV Awards will be very different from what fans have been used to due to a strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA). But more than two decades later, it began to honor works on TV. Like a typical award ceremony, viewers often anticipated the annual show, including the live audience and the show’s host. However, this time, some slight changes have been influenced by the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
