It depends on the provider. I have seen many European providers do that, including Hetzner. I do not mind as long as they are GDPR compliant. I believe in working with the provider to help them keep their network safe rather than adding friction from my side. Speaking of network, they probably have the largest network capacity in the region.
If you do not feel confident, you may try a different provider.
