Parler Registers Domain With Epik Hosting Service

Parler is now registered to Epik, a domain hosting service, according to public records.

The news came Monday, the same day Parler sued Amazon after being forced offline Sunday at midnight ET when Amazon terminated its web services.

Representatives for Epik did not immediately return calls from TheWrap. A Monday statement from senior vice president of communications Robert Davis, however, said the company had “had no contact or discussions with Parler in any form regarding [the] organization becoming their registrar or hosting provider.”

The statement also took aim at the media: “We have received a number of media requests for comment and story inclusion. Many seem intent to rehash prior falsehoods, and grossly…

What Is Epik? Parler Domain Finds New Home In Far Right’s Preferred Hosting Service

After major online service providers cut ties with Parler following last week’s Capitol riots, the controversial social network has transferred its domain to Epik, a domain registrar and web hosting service known to host far-right platforms.

Parler, which bills itself as an online haven for free speech, is popular with conservatives, far-right groups and conspiracy theorists due to its lack of content moderation. Following the storming of the Capitol by supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump, Parler was widely criticized as a breeding ground for unfiltered hate speech and dangerous rhetoric. The Capitol attack, which left five dead, is believed to have been planned on the platform.

On Sunday, Amazon Web Services suspended Parler’s web hosting account—effectively deactivating…

Parler finds refuge with right-leaning webhosting service

A handful of Big Tech companies moved to take down social media platform Parler over the weekend, but it appears to have found a new company to help try to keep its website running.

On Monday, Parler registered its domain and server to be hosted by Epik, an internet webhosting company known for working with right-leaning websites. Gab, another social media platform popular with conservatives, also uses Epik. A web domain search shows that Parler is now registered with Epik.

Epik put out a statement on Monday claiming it had no discussion of providing future services to Parler. Epik did acknowledge, however, that Parler was “working on satisfying the requested terms placed upon them.”

Epik also defended Parler and said that it was being…
